Coal Lake Alberta is a beautiful lake to visit with the family for fishing, boating, paddling or hiking and is located approximately 60 km south of Edmonton Alberta. There are private homes and property that line certain areas of the lake but all the homes are mostly hidden. South Coal lake has a boat launch and campground that we have never visited before.  Coal Lake is 11km Long with a max depth of 18ft. The main inflow and outflow of Coal Lake is the Pipestone Creek. Take a drive with us North on Highway 43 Alberta, Canada to check out the Hamlet of Rochfort Bridge and some other Historic sites along the way.
