About Us!
Hey Everyone! We are the Alberta Adventurer Family and we are a family of 4 living on the prairies in Alberta, Canada. We love adventure but have slowed down a bit since having the little ones and now are living the life on our homestead. We love to Garden in our Zone 3b garden along with foraging from the many bushes on our property. Since having children we have really started paying attention to our health. We have opted for growing more food and preserving for our long cold Northern winters.
We have recently been raising chickens and what an adventure it has been. We have loved every minute of this process and are continuing to learn daily. The breeds we have chosen are Ameracauna, Barred Plymouth Rock, Buff Orphington, Black Copper Maran, Blue Andalusian
We also like to get out in the summer months to go camping at nearby lakes or the Rocky Mountains. That being said Alberta has a very diverse landscape and has many beautiful gems to camp at; From the prairie lakes to the Rocky Mountains, down to the Badlands and everything in between. We love to get out for a paddle in our Clipper Cascade Canoe and enjoy the peace and quiet away from our hectic everyday life.
Of course we are a normal family with children so we explore all the fun tourist child friendly places around Alberta and Beyond. Thanks for following along and please check out the other Blogs and our YouTube Channel for more family friendly Adventures!
Adventure to us is learning to take care of ourselves a little more each day, an just living a life we can be proud of and look back one day and say "That was Fun!"
