We Rock the Spectrum is an all inclusive gym for children of all abilities to come and play together, feel safe and comfortable at their own speeds while exploring the 7 Senses. They have several gyms located throughout the world but only two in Canada so far.
Each gym features ten pieces of therapeutic equipment specifically designed to work with you Childs sensory processing needs that several children on the spectrum face. They can move freely throughout the space exploring all the senses. Our little ones liked every aspect right from the baby/toddler area to the ziplines. We even had quiet time in the calming room.
The Infant and toddler area is right at the font in a sectioned off area full of toys; even my almost 5 year old enjoyed playing in here for awhile.
Did you know the zipline can help children with their vestibular sensations, sensory feedback all while strengthening their core and building upper body strength. On top of that it is super fun, well it looks fun; if only the parents could ride too!
Let's not forget about the reading area, the ping pong table, train table, coloring area or the Jumparoos located at the back of the gym.
If you have not checked this place out yet, we highly recommend. Please check google daily for the hours of operation as they change due to fieldtrips and private parties. Also if you have the opportunity the daytime Monday thru Thursday is the best and very quiet!
