Bunchberry Meadows | Hike YEG
Bunchberry Meadows is located West of Edmonton and North of Devon Alberta. (approximately a 25 minute drive from the Edmonton Airport.) Please note that this is still private property and conservation lands, therefore No Dogs Allowed.
Now that we all know where to find this beautiful place let's talk about it. There is so much to see here and the dirt maintained trials make the park easy to navigate. You will make your way through Old growth forests over 100 years old, meadows and wetlands. You will come across some seating along trail; Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife. Also keep your eyes peeled for the Abandoned Car along the way. We would tell you where it is located but that wouldn't be any fun.
We just love how this old rusted car looked in the fall leaves!
Bunchberry Meadows is open from 7am-10pm year around for foot traffic only. of course our favorite time of year to visit is in the fall at sunset. The colors in the sky on a clear night mixed with the golden larch trees and the fallen leaves. Some wildlife you may come across along the way may... Moose, Deer, Squirrels, Owls, Hawks, Songbirds and many more.
We also found that the parking lot isn't busy in the evening hours. If the parking lot is full please do not park on the road as you may receive a ticket as the road is patrolled. There is also an outhouse and map located in the parking lot.
This is one of our favorite hiking spots close to the city of Edmonton. It is a must visit anytime of year. If you want to see more check out the video below. Thanks for reading and we hope to hear how your adventure went.
