Being adventurers we love exploring the wilderness and visiting new places every year. From the rolling hills of Alberta to the majestic Canadian Rockies. This hike however was a ladies trip and I just had to write about it as this is one for the books. What a beautiful slice of plant earth we have right here, we just wish the smoke from all the forest fires would have cleared.
The trail is full of so many sights along the way from the towering trees to the berry bushes that line the path. Lot's of wildlife along the way and of course the spectacular Chester lake at the end. Chester lake is a poplar fishing spot to catch Cutthroat and Dolly Varden Trout.
Once you make your way through the Alpine Meadow you will come to Chester Lake. We decided to hike around and take a few pictures and then we found a nice place to have lunch and enjoy the views and a quick dip in the lake. BRRR
Once you have reached Chester lake you can go on to hike Headwall Lake Loop / Fortress Mountain however this hike is not for beginners. Always educate yourself when hiking especially in the Canadian Rockies as the weather can change and it is easy to get lost.
I bet this would be a beautiful hike in the fall as I spotted some Larch trees along the lake in the distance. I love Larch trees and the golden color they change in the autumn months.
Anyways I hope you decide to take this beautiful hike as it was worth every second! If you want to see more click the video below to see the adventure.
