St. Luke School is located in South Cooking Lake and it has a fantastic park located behind the school with lots of field space to enjoy a sunny afternoon. The school is located 22139 S Cooking Lake road, Sherwood Park. The park has a large tower with a tube slide and viewing windows. It also has a few smaller slides and some climbing structures with natural looking logs in the large sandbox. Alberta, David Thompson Highway, Playground -

David Thompson Resort is located on Highway 11 the David Thompson Highway about half way down Abraham Lake before Rockies Heli Canada if travelling from Nordegg. If travelling from the Icefields Parkway it will be after Coral Creek/White Goat staging area and Rockies Heli Canada. There is a large parking lot and gas station located right In front of the park and you can see it from the highway.  This playground is open to the Public so anyone is welcome. One of our families favorite places to travel in Alberta is in David Thompson Country. This area of Alberta is a Gem that connects the flat prairies into the majestic Canadian Rockies. Alberta, Edmonton, Go East of Edmonton -

We decided to check out Jurassic Forest located just outside of Gibbons Alberta, a short drive North from the City of Edmonton. What a fun place to take the family for a couple of hours and explore the Old Growth forest with Prehistoric Animatronic Dinosaurs hidden throughout. We pre booked our timeslot on there website as required for limited capacity during Covid. We lucked out and got the first timeslot of the day and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Bunchberry Meadows is located West of Edmonton and North of Devon Alberta.   (approximately a 25 minute drive from the Edmonton Airport.) Please note that this is still private property and conservation lands, therefore No Dogs Allowed. Now that we all know where to find this beautiful place let's talk about it.
