Hard Luck Canyon | Whitecourt

Hard Luck Canyon is a must see if you are in the Whitecourt area. Hard Luck Canyon is a waterfall fed by a beaver pond when it overflows so it is best to view in spring or after a lot of rain. The Waterfall falls from the cliff side under the bridge and into the Canyon to meet Hard Luck Creek. This place is beautiful and the kids love it. Miquelon Lake Provincial Park | Hike Alberta

Miquelon Lake Provincial Park is located approximately 60 km East of Edmonton Alberta and features 20 km of hiking trails. 3.7 km are paved trails around the campground and shoreline. The rest of the park is considered backcountry trails consisting of dirt grass and some low lying muddy sections. The park has a full service campground, day use area with playground and a small shallow lake. Note that the lake is not swimmable and only allows for paddle friendly watercraft. Clifford E. Lee Nature Sanctuary is a fantastic place to escape the city and seek a little wild for the whole family. The Park is situated approximately 30 km southwest of Edmonton City Centre and just North of Devon.
